WWE Smackdown Results and Highlights: Check out the big highlights and what happened on WWE Friday Night Smackdown Episode on 11th Dec: Staples Center in Los Angeles aired this week’s Friday Night Smackdown. The night kicked off with Sami Zayn addressing the WWE Universe saying that he got robbed last week from his title opportunity. Lesnar later entered the scene and decimated an already hapless Sami Zayn. There were many other interesting segments and matches during the night. You can check the results & highlights below.

WWE Smackdown Results of the night

The Usos vs. RK-Bro vs. The New Day: Kofi Kingston and Riddle started the proceedings. The two men started off with a classic wrestling lock before Kingston and Riddle started their offense against each other.

After some back & forth moves, Kofi tagged in King Woods, and then it was Woods and Riddle fighting in the middle of the ring. Woods hit Riddle face-first on the mat and continued his offense. Riddle also got a chance to shine as he hit Woods with a knee near the rope and was going for one more before Jey stole a tag from Riddle.

Jey then hit a hard right hand on Riddle and Woods. Jimmy also came into the ring and then The Usos hit a right hand on Sir Kofi followed by Randy Orton who was in his corner. Everyone was outside the ring now and The Usos took the opportunity for a running dive on the outside from between the middle and top rope. We now go into commercials.

After the commercials, we saw Jey Uso and King Woods fighting it out in the middle of the ring. Woods tagged in Kofi and he launched himself from the top turnbuckle right on Jey Uso. Kofi and Jey were exchanging offense before Riddle took the tag from Kofi.

Jey and Riddle were exchanging blows now and working on each other. Jimmy meanwhile tagged himself in by tagging in Jey, Riddle didn’t realize the tag has been made and he was caught by The Usos. The Usos took him outside the ring and bashed face-first on the apron. The Usos were all over Riddle and Randy was desperate to go outside but the referee was stopping him from doing so.

ARiddle was struggling and got a fair chance to tag in Randy. Just when he reached his corner, Randy was dragged down by Jimmy Uso from the outside and bashed into the steel stairs. Riddle was hit with a neck breaker inside the ring by Jey Uso who then went for a pin, but Sir Kofi made the save. We now go into commercials again.

After the commercials, Riddle was struggling again in the ring with The Usos working on him. Riddle somehow got some space from the Usos and he dragged himself to his corner to tag Randy. However, Kofi took the tag from Jimmy Uso and bashed himself on Randy to deny him a tag.

The Staples Center was chanting Randy! Randy! and the chants changed to We Want Randy! but Riddle was struggling with both the New Day Members working on him simultaneously. Riddle however finally got a chance to tag Randy and the crowd went berserk seeing Randy inside the ring.

Randy hit power slams on both The Usos simultaneously. He then set Jey on the middle rope to hit his signature DDT, but Jey pulled him outside the ring only to get hit face-first on the announce table. Randy then slammed bot the members of the New Day back-first on the announce table before going back to the ring.

Randy then hit Jimmy Usos with an RKO before he left the ring as Woods took a tag from him. Woods then hit a superkick on Jey, tagged in Kofi who stomped from the top turnbuckle and pinned Jey Uso to win the match.

Backstage: Brock Lesnar approached Adam Pearce in his cabin. Pearce was shocked to see Lesnar who told Pearce that he is here to thank him. He said that thanks to Adam Pearce suspending him he was able to do what he likes the most, i.e., Moose hunting.

Brock told Pearce that he has named the Moose he hunted after Pearce so that whenever he sees it he can remember that he got suspended and was able to do his favorite stuff, i.e., Moose hunting.

 

 

Toni Storm vs. Charlotte Flair: Just as the bell rang, Charlotte Flair ran into Storm and hit her with a hard right hand. Charlotte took her up for a suplex, but the newbie slid from Charlotte’s grip and hit her with a running basement dropkick.

Charlotte then went to the corner, but Toni Storm ran into her with a knee strike. Toni thought she was on top, but Charlotte’s offenses were too hard for the newbie to handle. Charlotte missed on a reverse moonsault from the top rope but she was still working pretty well.

Charlotte was not letting Toni settle down. She then took her to the corner post on the apron and started kicking her before bashing her head on the ring post. She was continuously stomping Toni in the corner with the ring ropes held. The referee was counting the 5 counts, but when Charlotte didn’t stop, the referee had to call the match and give a DQ victory to Toni Storm.

After the match ended, Charlotte sent Toni Strom inside the ring and hit her with a big boot.

 

 

Backstage: Riddle welcomed the cast of “Jackass Forever” to Smackdown.

 

 

Naomi vs. Sonya Deville: Sonya Deville was finally out with not her corporate suit but her wrestling suit on. Before the match could have started, Sonya took the mic and said that before the match starts, she would like to announce the special ring announcer Natalya and the special timekeeper Shayna Baszler.

Naomi sensed the threat and went outside the ring to get the better of Natalya and Shayna Baszler first. She then returned to the ring thinking now she is all alone with Deville, but Deville slid outside the ring to regroup with Shayna and Natalya. The three ladies then surrounded Naomi who was standing in the ring.

Naomi was all alone but got a surprise ally in the form of debuting Xia Li. The former NXT Superstar walked straight into the ring and stare down Naomi before launching herself on Sonya Deville and then on Shayna & Natalya. Li & Naomi brawled with the trio and stood tall in the end.

 

 

Backstage: Kayla Braxton approached Paul Heyman who was leaving the building, She asked her if he was still the advocate of Brock Lesnar? Paul replied, “please stop doing that.” Kayla then asked him how Roman Reigns is going to react to this news. Paul was a bit terrified and left the scene without saying a word.

 

 

Backstage: Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss were seen taking the table with Drew’s sword Angela stuck in it, to somewhere.

 

 

Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus: As the bell rang, the two warriors unloaded on each other with a series of right-hand strikes. Drew then took Sheamus to the corner and chopped right on his chest. He sent him to the other corner and chopped on his chest again.

Sheamus then got some momentum when he floored Drew with a double axe handle and took him to the ring ropes for the 10 beats on the chest (beats to Bodhran). Sheamus struck once as Drew countered and hit 4 beats to the chest of his own. After the four shots, Sheamus countered Drew and sent him down to the floor. Sheamus approached Drew on the outside, but the Scottish Warrior slammed him back-first on the floor with a vicious belly-to-belly suplex. We now head into commercials.

 

As we returned from commercials, the two men were in the ring and Sheamus hit Drew with an Irish curse backbreaker. He went for the pin but Drew kicked out at 2 counts. Drew was then lifted in the shoulders by Sheamus, but he hit slipped out and hit another chest chop on Sheamus. He went to the corner to set himself for a Claymore Kick, but Sheamus hit a running knee on the Scottish Warrior.

Sheamus went for a cover but Drew again kicked out at 2. Sheamus was up with his offense again and send Drew crashing into the corner. However, to his surprise, Drew returned with a Claymore that rocked Sheamus and pick up a win.

Backstage: Drew McIntyre with his sword Angela approached Adam Pearce in his office with a wicked smile. Drew reminded Adam Pearce that he was the reason why he didn’t make it to the list of Black Friday Battle Royal two weeks back.

Pearce was a bit terrified to see Drew and said it was the management’s decision. Also, Pearce just told Drew that he can not take his sword with him for tonight’s match against Sheamus. Drew agreed to Pearce’s words and penetrated the sword into Pearce’s office table.

 

 

Backstage: King Woods is presented with his new crown by his right-hand man, Sir Kofi Kingston in the presence of Ricochet, The Viking Raiders, Mansoor, and Drew Gulak.

 

 

Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs. Los Lotharios: Rick Boogs & Humberto kicked off the proceedings. Boogs was on the money as he was displaying brute power and overpowering Humberto. Angel tried to intervene by hitting a knee right on the back of Boogs, but Boogs brought him inside the ring and then hoisted him like a weightlifter to send him crashing down on the floor.

After displaying a few moe offenses, Boogs tagged in Shinsuke who hit a Kinshasa on Humberto to pick up a win.

Backstage: Kayla Braxton asked Brock Lesnar his purpose of coming out to the ring tonight. Lesnar said that she should ask this to his advocate Paul Heyman.

 

 

In the ring: We kick off things with Sami Zayn making his way to the ring on a wheelchair with two medical professionals alongside him. Sami Zayn is in the ring now and starts off on the mic. He said that his name is Sami Zayn and he is the toughest guy in WWE.

He added that it took two guys to sideline him and injure him. He further said that he was robbed of his Universal Championship last week and now he is going to sue everyone who was involved in the actions last week. He mentioned the names of the referee, the officials, Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar, whom he is going to sue. As Sami was talking, Paul Heyman interrupted him and walked into the ring.

Paul Heyman told Sami to shut up and started speaking. While Paul was speaking, Sami told him that he isn’t finished speaking and Paul should shut up. Sami warned Paul multiple times and stood up from his wheelchair saying that he knows Roman Reigns isn’t here tonight and despite him wearing a leg brace and a neck brace he still can rip off Paul Heyman’s head and no one will come out to save him. Just when he said this, Brock Lesnar’s music hit, and out came the Beast Incarnate.

Brock took a chair before entering the ring and put it in front of Sami Zayn and sat there. He started talking with Zayn saying that whatever he did last week to him he is sorry about it, but it was to help him. He asked Sami Zayn if he could have defeated Roman Reigns on his own? Sami was skeptical. Brock then said that he did favor on Sami last week by dismantling him so that Roman’s victory isn’t counted for good.

Brock ten asked Sami from where he belongs in Canada, Sami answered Montreal. Brock then said let’s go fishing together as we are Canadian buddies and Canadian Alpha males. As Brock was taking Sami along with him, Paul Heyman said what are you doing Brock? This isn’t the Brock he knows if it was the previous Brock he would have taken Sami Zayn to Suplex City by now. That was it, Paul words provoked Lesnar and he snapped the two male nurses and then hit Sami Zayn with an F5.
