WWE SmackDown: Ricochet WWE: This week’s WWE SmackDown was an engaging watch but next week promises to be even better. This week the WWE Universe witnessed the birthday celebration of Kurt Angle and also the Usos retaining their Undisputed Tag Team titles against the Brawling Brutes. In another match, Ricochet teamed up with New Day to take on the Imperium. There were a couple of backstage segments which were also stunning. The first one saw LA Knight looking for Bray Wyatt and the lights go off for Uncle Howdy to appear. WWE SmackDown: Full updated card for next week’s WWE SmackDown revealed; Ricochet to fight for the Intercontinental Championship
As far as next week is concerned, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY will defend their titles against Tegan Nox and Live Morgan who defeated Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in this week’s episode. We will also see the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns make his first appearance since Survivor Series WarGames. However, it was reported that Roman Reigns is suffering from a ruptured eardrum so we need to wait and find out if he makes an appearance. WWE SmackDown: Ricochet picked up the win against the Imperium today
This week’s episode saw the contract signing between Ricochet and Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. As New Day interrupted the proceedings, it was announced that Ricochet will be teaming up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to take on the Imperium.
The match did not let us down as it delivered the action it promised. In the end, it was the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship who picked up the victory with a Shooting Star Press after Kofi had hit Kaiser with a Trouble of Paradise.
