WWE Royal Rumble: Adam Pearce reveals why he handpicked Seth Rollins- WWE has made the Universal Championship bout official at the Royal Rumble PPV event on Sunday, January 29. The Universal Champion from Smackdown, Roman Reigns, will defend the title against his former ‘Shield’ brother, Monday Night Raw’s Seth Rollins, in what would be a grueling battle.

WWE official Adam Pearce, who handpicked Seth Rollins for this match, appeared at this week’s episode of WWE’s The Bump. He was asked how he decided on naming Seth Rollins for this match. Pearce had his explanation with him and said,

“You know, the thing about finding Roman’s challenger is that you need to scour every nook, every cranny, and you’ve got to find somebody that you believe is a formidable challenge to Roman Reigns,” Adam Pearce said. “What landed me on Seth is history. Really, when you think about two people intertwined for a certain period of time, I think Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, with everything they’ve been through, with everything they’ve stood together for and against, makes a very intriguing matchup and one that I know Mr. Reigns is not happy about, but here we are. They trusted me to make the decision, and it’s official.”

WWE Royal Rumble: Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns is all set for the PPV

Seth Rollins vs. Seth Rollins is all set for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble PPV event. Seth doesn’t only have to get past Roman Reigns, but he also has to take care of Roman’s two laggies, The Usos. It would be a tough task for Seth to humble the Tribal Chief because the champ will do anything and everything in his power to leave The Dome with the title wrapped around his waist on January 29. 

Besides the Universal Championship match, the WWE Championship match will also have everyone’s eyeballs stuck in. Brock Lesnar will be defending his title against Bobby Lashley in a first-time-ever dream match. Who will prevail in the battle of two intimidating figures?
