WWE Raw Results and Highlights: Check out the big highlights and what happened on WWE Monday Night RAW Episode on March 1: As we moved one week closer to Wrestlemania 38 (Schdelued on April 2 & 3), the action on Monday Night Raw was one of the best in recent times. We witnessed the United States Championship changing hands and also Edge’s Wrestlemania opponent got revealed. The show had a perfect ending with Edge scripting a perfect storyline heading into Mania and we can’t keep calm with the return of Edge as a heel. What else happened during the show? WWE Raw Results and events

Edge Wrestlemania opponent: The Rated-R Superstar Edge was in the ring and as usual came out with a huge pop. Without any implications and wasting further time, Ege asked for anyone to step up and challenge him.

The challenge was accepted by none other than ‘The Phenomenal One,’ AJ Styles. Edge and Styles were in the ring at the same time and Styles accepted his challenge.

The match which everyone wanted was finally going to happen at Mania and Edge said that he wants the World Champion version not the tag-team version of Styles.

Edge then offered a handshake but before Styles could have shaken hands, Edge attacked Styles. The two men then git involved in a brawl and when AJ was going for a Phenomenal Forearm, Edge ducked it and hit AJ with a low blow, turning heel. Edge is a heel now.

The Hall of Famer then went outside to grab two chairs. He place one under the head of Styles and with the other one he snapped AJ’s skull multiple times. While doing all this Edge looked skeptical, and we all know Edge is the master of all this. The night had a great ending with Edge despite being skeptical standing tall.

United States Championship: Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor- The two competitors were on the money right from the word ‘go.’ Both men were taking out each other with some impressive moves and ballistic attacks. After a few back and forth moves, we head into commercials.

After the commercials, we saw the two men fighting it out in the middle of the ring and Priest sent Balor into the corner. Balor was struggling to get going but got some momentum when he dropkicked Balor into the corner not once but twice.

Balor took control and also countered Priest’s finisher The Reckoning with a neck breaker. In the closing moments of the match, once Balor countered the Reckoning, he nailed a perfect Coup de Gras and pinned the US Champion to become the new champ.

WWE Raw Results: Finn Balor defeated Damian Priest

After the match got over, Damian Priest snapped an attack on Balor and turned heel.

 

 

Backstage: Austin Theory and Vince McMahon were seen talking in Mr. McMahon’s office. Austin Theory mentioned Vince McMahon would be on the Pat McAfee Show and said that he will have his back during the show. However, Mr. McMahon didn’t like the idea.

RK-Bro vs Street Profits: Riddle and Angelo Dawkins started the proceedings for the match and soon we saw Ford getting a tag and wearing down Riddle. Riddle got the opening with an overhead slam and soon he tagged in Randy.

Randy with his old school style was stomping on all the limbs of Ford and the tagged in Riddle. Riddle was working on with Dawkins and sent him outside followed by a dive from the apron. Ford also came running in and bashed into Randy. He then took the aerial route from the apron and delivered a moonsault on Riddle as we head into commercials.

As we returned from the commercials, we saw Dawkins and Riddle fighting it out in the middle of the ring. Riddle rocked Dawkins with a kick on the face and desperately tagged in Randy. The Viper then started working on Ford and was going great guns, until he missed an RKO, but Ford didn’t miss out on his devastating Frog Splash on Randy. Ford nailed the Frog Splash perfectly, and when he went for a cover, Randy had his foot on the rope, but Dawkins, without the referee’s seeing him, removed Randy’s left foot and the Viper got pinned 1,2,3.

The Mysterio’s vs The Hurt Business: The match started after the commercials. Rey and Shelton Benjamin were the ones to start the proceedings. Both men were going after each other and due to a slight distraction, Cedric Alexander clotheslined Rey on the apron.

Cedric was then wearing down Rey and was simultaneously tagging his partner Shelton Benjamin into the match. With a Hurricane Rana to Benjamin, Rey got some space to tag in Dominik. Dominik then started the attack and was looking good.

Both outside and inside, Dominik was taking on both the members of Hurt Business. At one point, Benjamin was rolled inside the ring by Dominik, but Miz came out of nowhere and tried to pull Dominik outside the ring. Rey noticed this and chased Miz into the crowd. Meanwhile, in the ring, Shelton Benjamin took advantage and rolled up Dominik for a pinfall win.

The Mysterio’s in the ring: Before the match could have started, Rey Mysterio talked about the Miz and Logan Paul whom he would be facing with his son at Wrestlemania 38. Rey took the opportunity to humiliate Miz and Dominik called him a Hollywood Dumbass and Logan Paul a Fanboy.

Their segment got interrupted by The Miz. Like always Miz was blabbering on the mic and didn’t shy away from humiliating The Mysterio’s. After taking a few shots on the Mysterio’s, The Miz finally left the ramp and ut came The Hurt Business.

Dana Brooke & Reggie vs. Tamina & Akira Tozawa: The ladies started the proceedings of this match, and it was Dana Brooke who took the early advantage, however, Tamina returned with her offense and when she was looking good, Tozawa tagged himself in.

With Tozawa in the ring, Reggie was the legal competitor from the other side and he was quick to hit his situp and roll up Tozawa for a pinfall win.

Once the match got over, Dana Brooke kissed Reggie. This made Tamina furious and she took Akira Tozawa and kissed him leaving the latter totally amazed.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Robert Roode: Ciampa looked furious from the word ‘go’ as he started his attacks right after the bell rang. Ciampa was unhinged and making life hell for Roode. Roode was seeking an opening and he got one with a Spine Buster.

Roode find some momentum and was going great guns until Ciampa exposed his knee and tried hitting it on the face of Roode. Well, Roode escaped it but Ziggler who was on the apron got a taste of the exposed knee of Ciampa. Once Ziggler was out, Ciampa went for a roll-up pin and secured a win over Roode.

After the match got over, both Ziggler and Roode started an assault on Ciampa and stood tall.

 

 

Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley vs. Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H & Becky Lynch: It seemed like Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair would start the proceedings, but Becky opted to sneak out and tagged in Nikki. Liv asked Bianca for a tag and then it was Morgan with Nikki in the ring.

Liv kept Nikki in check and then tagged Bianca Belair. Belair worked on Nikki before the latter tagged Doudrop in and went for a vertical suplex with the help of Rhea Ripley. Doudrop rolled outside, and Rhea & Bianca sent Nikki & Becky outside as well. Before heading into commercials, we saw Liv Morgan assisted with a dive from above the top turnbuckle on the outside on all the three ladies.

After the commercial, we saw Bianca and Becky Lynch in the ring as both were working n each other. Becky played smart and used Bianca’s braid against her. She pulled her towards the ring post grabbing her braid slamming her into the post, She then rolled her braid on the top rope and started a vicious assault.

Bianca, Doudrop, and Nikki were now going for simultaneous tags and attacking Bianca Belair. Belair finally got some opening and tagged in Rhea. Rhea was the legal one now and she started her assault on Becky. She was all over Becky and went for a cover but Doudrop managed to break it.

In the closing moments of the match, when Bianca was fed up with Becky playing with her braid, Bianca decided to retaliate by hitting the champ with the braid on the abdomen and back. Becky opted to leave the ring in fear, meanwhile, inside the ring, Bianca hit Nikki with a Kiss of Death to end the proceedings.

Omos vs. T-Bar: Even before T-Bar could have entered the ring, Omos sent him down on the floor with a shoulder tackle from the apron. The bell was yet to ring, and Omos brought T-Bar into the ring and started the assault. The bell then rang and the match officially started.

A clothesline leaving T-Bar inside out followed by a double hand chokeslam and that was it for the big man to earn a victory over T-Bar in this one-sided affair.

Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins vs. The Alpha Academy- After Owens hit a Stunner, the match started between the two teams. Gable and Rollins drew the first blood, but later it was all between Owens and Otis. Owens and Otis were overpowering each other and after a while, we saw both Gable and Otis simultaneously exchanging tags to wear down Seth Rollins.

Seth finally got some opening when he escaped from a middle turnbuckle splash of Otis, He sought the opportunity to tag in Owens. Once Owens was the legal man, he hit a Cannon Ball in the corner to Otis and then sent him outside the ring near the announce table where Gable was already present. With both men outside, Owens went to the apron and nailed a moonsault on Gable, but was floored by a heavy lariat from Otis. We now head into commercials.

After the commercials, Otis and Owens were in the ring and Otis was working on the former. Otis then tagged in Gable and he started working on Owens for good. He hit a German Suplex on Owens and went for another one but this time the latter somehow managed to avoid it by grabbing the rope and after an enzegurie, he tagged in Rollins.

Rollins was now working on Gable and was looking pretty good. The action continued and we saw some swift moves from both teams. In the closing moments, Gable tried going for a suplex after nailing one earlier on Owens. He tried yet another on Owens, but this time the latter went towards his corner and Rollins took the tag.

A tag from Rollins and he hit a buckle bomb on Gable before Owens returned with a Stunner and Rollins ended it up with a Curb Stomp.

The Kevin Owens Show- The night is kicked off by Kevin Owens’ Kevin Owens Show. He heads to the ring donning a hat and stood on the ramp to introduce his best friend, tag-team partner, and his guest for the night, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.

The two men entered the ring and started talking about how focused they are to claim the Raw tag-team titles. After blabbering about themselves before calling out the reigning Raw tag-team champions The Alpha Academy. The two teams exchanged a few words in the ring.

Chad Gable said that he and Otis have busted their ass to claim the Raw tag-team titles and they are not going to lose it as they want to enter Wrestlemania as the tag-team Champion. Hearing this, Seth Rollins gave him an idea that when they defeat them next week on Raw, the Alpha Academy can challenge them at Wrestlemania. Hearing this, Gable tried to shoosh both Rollins and Owens, but Owens snapped Gable with a Stunner.
