Maryse’s Birthday Celebrations: The Miz welcomed the Ohio crowd to Maryse’s Birthday extravaganza Without wasting much time, he took the honor to welcome his wife Maryse. Once Maryse was in the ring, Miz asked to open her first gift. The gift was a portrait of Miz & Maryse as King and Queen.

Miz then told Maryse that he has security surrounding the ring, he has got the roof checked if there is any Brood Blood to spoil their celebrations, and he ensured that there won’t be any intruders like Beth and Edge.

He then asked Maryse to open her second gift. It was a clutch, a pink clutch. After talking some more trash for Edge and Beth, Maryse showed interest in opening the biggest box placed in the ring and asked Miz if she can open it. Miz said that he didn’t get that box and asked the security to open it. When the box was opened it was a brick inside it and both Miz & Maryse started laughing.

Miz then asked everyone in the arena to stand up and sing the Happy Birthday song. Everyone stood up and while Miz was singing for his wife, Edge’s music hit, and an irate Edge with his wife Beth Phoenix came out.

While walking on the ramp, Edge told Miz & Maryse that they have crossed their limits and now they have to look at what they will do to the security right now and the same will be done to them at the Royal Rumble PPV.

Edge and Beth Phoenix launched an attack on the security and made their way into the ring destroying everything and everyone in the path. The segment ended with edge power bombing one of the security personnel through the table set in the ring.

Backstage: Seth Rollins gets interviewed backstage and he seems to be in a good mood. He was asked about his chances at the Royal Rumble PPV against Roman Reigns. He said that he has got Reigns’ numbers and he knows he can beat him. He also said that he might take one more trip to Smackdown next week.

 

 

The Mysterio’s vs. The Street Profits: Angelo Dawkins and Dominik started the proceedings and Dominik stunned Dawkins with a Hurricane Rana early on in the match. Dawkins returned with some offense of his own but it didn’t last for long as Dawkins was sent outside the ring by Dominik and he tagged his father.

Dominik then launched himself from between the top and middle rope on the outside and then Rey launched himself on Ford inside the ring. Ford then sent Rey outside from over the top rope before launching himself on the Mysterio’s on the outside. We head into commercials now.

After the commercials, we saw Dominik and Dawkins in the ring with Dawkins’arm wrapped around Dominik’s neck. Dominik was feeling the pressure, but he somehow got rid of the hold and tagged his father in meanwhile Dawkins also tagged Ford.

Rey and Ford were the legal men now. They exchanged their blows and showed their offense for good. In the closing moments, Ford had Rey on his shoulders and he was about to floor him with a suplex but Rey countered it with a roll-up pin and secured a win.

After the match got over, Dominik tried to send his father Rey over the top rope, but the veteran countered and sent his son over the top rope instead. Montez Ford came from behind and sent Rey outside, Dawkins then grabbed Ford from his neck and sent him over the top rope.

All of a sudden, the Dirty Dawgs (Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler) entered the scene and sent Dawkins outside. Now Mysterio’s and Street Profits come together to send The Dirty Dawgs over the top rope to end things.

Backstage: Rey was asked about his feelings on getting on the cover of WWE 2K22 game. He said, “Most superstars spend their career chasing achievements whether it’s main eventing WrestleMania or entering the WWE HOF, being on the cover of WWE 2K22 is no different.”

Dominik was then asked about his father’s achievement. He said he is proud for it and now he will look to build his own legacy by winning the Royal Rumble match and main eventing Wrestlemania. But will he send his father over the top rope to win the Rumble?

 

 

Doudrop & Becky Lynch interview: The interview was more of a segment where Becky Lynch was only bragging about herself, she wasn’t letting Doudrop speak. Becky was disrespecting Doudrop and she had enough of her.

Doudrop removed her mic and went into the room where Becky Lynch was present and attacked her for good.

 

 

AJ Styles vs. Austin Theory: A rematch from last week, and hopefully we won’t see Grayson Waller interrupting the match. The two men started with a classic wrestling lock and Styles was quick to take Theory in a side headlock. The match was swift as Styles went for simultaneous roll-up pins but Theory survived every time.

Styles sent him outside the ring and hit him with a Phenomenal Forearm from the apron on the outside. Styles rolled Theory back into the ring and the latter started to fake injury when Styles kicked him right on his thigh. When AJ went near him, Theory sent him face-first into the middle turnbuckle.

The action continued and we saw the two men exchanging offense at will. Both men were displaying some really good maneuvers and got the better of each other on different occasions. At one point, Theory was seen hitting a dropkick on Styles who was on the top turnbuckle and went tumbling on the floor. We now head into commercials.

After the commercial, we saw the two men in the ring, and Theory hit Styles with a back breaker as the latter landed on Theory’s thigh. We saw Theory launch Styles into the stratosphere and AJ was feeling the heat. AJ was in desperate need of a turnaround and he got the opening with an inverted DDT from the top turnbuckle.

Both athletes were getting exhausted now. However, Austin Theory was facing his chances on defeating a former Word Champion. Theory was looking for a superplex from the top turnbuckle, but AJ slid down and pulled Theory’s leg as he landed face-first on the turnbuckle.

Theory then tried going for his finisher ATL but AJ countered it with a calf crusher. Theory somehow got out of the hold by getting to the nearest bottom rope. Theory also tried to roll up Styles for a win and take some assistance of the ring ropes, but the referee caught him while he tried doing so.

In the closing moments of the match, Styles went to the apron and placed a perfect Phenomenal Forearm on theory’s face to pick up a hard-fought victory over the next-gen star.

Backstage: Mr.McMahon tells Austin Theory that he would face AJ Styles tonight. Theory was a bit surprised but he couldn’t do anything about it. While Theory was leaving Mr. McMahon’s office, the boss gave him his mobile phone and said that he better take a selfie tonight with Styles.

 

 

Randy Orton vs. Chad Gable- The match started after the commercials and Chad Gable started displaying his technical maneuvers. Gable was specifically working on Randy’s left hand amid the “Randy Randy” chants.

Randy was using his skills to get out of Gable’s offense but the latter was strategically keeping Randy down. Randy then got out of the hold again but Gable stunned him with two back-to-back arm drags and once again Gable held his left hand.

Gable tried a third arm drag, but this time Randy was smart enough to evade and tried going for an RKO, but Gable saw the threat and went outside the ring to gain momentum. He returned to the ring and stunned Rand with his quick maneuvers and technical skills and this time Randy went outside to get out of his opponent’s reach.

The two men continued their back & forth attacks and finally, we saw some distraction from Otis on the apron, but not before Randy slammed Gable back-first on the announce table. Gable took advantage of the distraction and attacked Randt on the back of his knee. He then went to the top turnbuckle and placed a perfect reverse moonsault. Gable went for a cover, but Randy kicked out at 2. We now head into commercials.

After the commercial, both men were in the ring, and Gable was working on the bad leg of Randy Orton. In a picture-to-picture replay, it was shown that during the commercial, Randy was slammed spine-first into the announce table.

The two men were going back & forth with their moves in the ring, meanwhile, outside the ring, Riddle tried attacking Otis but he felt the pain as the latter slammed him on the mat. In the ring, Randy was struggling as he was held in an Ankle Lock by Gable.

Once again it was Gable who was in command but not for long as Riddle attacked Otis with his scooter and Gable got distracted a bit. Randy drove Gable into the corner post with his leg force and then hit him with an RKO to end a scintillating match.

WWE Raw Results: Randy Orton beat Chad Gable via Pinfall

After the match got over, Riddle took the mic and announced that next week their next challenge would be a ‘Scooter Race.’

 

 

Alpha Academy’s Academic Challenge for RK-Bro- Chad Gable and Otis were in the ring and Kevin was the one conducting the event. He introduced the Raw Tag Team Champions and then Chad Gable started his talking.

Chad was openly bullying the crowd in Ohio and the crowd was chanting “You Suck.” He was trash-talking to the crowd and then revealed that he and his prodigy Otis are going to enter the Royal Rumble match. After all this, Kevin introduced Randy Orton & Riddle to kick off the Academic Challenge.

As Randy & Riddle entered the ring, the crowd went berserk and started chanting RK-Bro. Otis went first and he was asked to spell ‘Emmental,’ which he spelled correctly. Riddle was the next one to go and he was asked to spell ‘Calibration.’ Riddle looked a bit skeptical at first, but then correctly spelled it.

Gable went next and he was asked to spell ‘Disillusion,’ but instead of the word asked he spelled ‘Dissolution.’ Gable and Otis lost a point. Randy was the next to go now and he was asked to spell ‘Dumbbell’ which he spelled correcty.

This irate Gable and he lost his cool. To shut him down Randy challenged him for a one-on-one match might now and spelled the three most devastating letters ‘RKO’ for him to tell him how he is going to beat the hell out of him. The match is up next.

 

 

Dana Brooke, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan vs. Nikki A.S.H, Tamina & Carmella- Dana Brooke and Tamina started the proceedings of the match and Tamina was all over Dana Brooke. She was tossing her up for good and while trying the same once again, Dana got space to rush to her corner and tag in Rhea.

Rhea came in and changed the momentum of the match. She teed off with a dropkick on Tamina and then rushed to the other corner to take out Nikki, but the latter dropped herself from the apron. Rhea was irate and continued her attacks on Tamina. After a while, we saw all the 6 ladies coming into the action simultaneously and clearing the ring.

In the closing moments, Tamina tagged Carmella and she went into the ring to get her things done Rhea. She was trash-talking with Rhea and it backfired as Rhea held her in submission and she had to tap out.

Backstage- Damian Priest is warned by WWE Authority figure Sonya Deville. She tells her when the referee calls for a match he has to listen to him. If he doesn’t listen to the referee the next time, he will have to face severe consequences.

 

 

US Championship: Damian Priest vs. Kevin Owens- As soon as the bell rang, Owens hit a kick on the Bread Basked of Damian Priest and tried going for a stunner, but the champ sent Owens to the corner and started his attacks with fierce right-hand strikes.

The two men were going back and forth with their offense until Owens floored Priest with a running elbow strike followed by a running Swanton. The action moved outside the ring when Owens sent Priest outside with a kick. He tried going for a superkick, but Priest caught him and sent him crashing into the barricade and followed this attack with a chokeslam on the ramp. We now move into commercials.

After the commercial, both men were seen fighting in the ring. Attacks and counters were on display and Owens went for a DDT from the top turnbuckle. He then went to the other turnbuckle and nailed a perfect frog splash. He then went for a cover, but Priest kicked out on 2 counts.

Now Priest was in control as he hit a roundabout kick and went for a cover, but Owens kicked out this time. Owens was once again seen faking an injury on his arm just like last week, but this time Priest didn’t fall prey to his dirty tactics and continued his attack on Owens.

He was going back & forth with his offense but Kevin faking his injury and went for a roll-up pin after shoving Priest on the top rope. Priest kicked out of the pin and took Owens into the corner for continuous right-hand strikes.

He outraged his attack on Owens and started dismantling him. The referee had to intervene and once his assault didn’t stop even after the referee’s 5 counts, the referee had to cancel the bout and give a DQ win in favor of Owens.

Bianca Belair vs. Queen Zelina- As the bell rang, it was Bianca Belair who was playing with Queen Zelina and her physical specimen. She was carrying her like a rag bag and drooling her with ease.

Bianca’s strength was on display but some desperate maneuvers from the Queen somehow made her attack Bianca and nullify her offense. At one point Queen Zelina held Bianca from her neck and choked her for good. Bianca somehow for out of it and went for a running moonsault, but Zelina got her knees up on time.

The two ladies continued the fight until Bianca Belair held her for a vertical suplex giving a display of her physical strength. In the closing moments, Zelina tried going for her finishing maneuver the ‘sunset flip’ but Belair got the Kiss of Death on time and defeated her.

Bobby Lashley & Brock Lesnar’s Weigh In- The night has kicked off with Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar’s Weigh In. Adam Pearce and Corey Graves were in the ring to initiate the process. Adam Pearce introduced the All-Mighty Bobby Lashley, and Brock Lesnar was introduced by his advocate Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was spotting a cowboy hat and looked like a countryman.

Bobby Lashley was the first man to step up on the weighing scale and he weighed 273 pounds. Brock Lesnar was the next to step up on the scale and he weighed 286 pounds. Bobby wasn’t impressed with the way Brock was behaving during the whole segment as he looked unhinged and as if he was enjoying all this.

Bobby took the mic and said that on Saturday night he will beat him to become the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion and that’s not a prediction, that’s a spoiler. Brock Lesnar responded to this and made fun of Lashley by saying, on Sunday morning people will call Lashley, and the new reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world, Bobby “who?”
