Brock Lesnar is expected to appear tonight after being absent the previous week. “The Beast” is preparing to take on Cody Rhodes at WWE Backlash on Saturday. The match comes after Lesnar attacked Rhodes before their scheduled match started earlier this month when Rhodes tried to form a temporary alliance with him.
Bianca Belair was added to the “WWE SmackDown” roster on Friday, night 1 of WWE Draft 2023. She will face IYO SKY of Damage CTRL this weekend to defend her “WWE Raw” Women’s Championship. It’s still possible that Rhea Ripley, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, may be recruited to “Raw” in the wake of Belair’s move to the “Blue Brand,” and the two ladies will trade belts as has happened in the past.
There will be Stories leading up to the company’s next PLE, like Bad Bunny’s rivalry with Damien Priest and Austin Theory’s impending United States Championship defense against Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed, which will probably advance since this is the final episode of “Raw” before Backlash.
In addition, Rollins will face Omos on Saturday, while Zayn and Owens will face The Bloodline with Matt Riddle as their team. As members of the “WWE NXT” roster are also available to be selected in draughts, expect to see these feuds discussed and perhaps some unexpected call-ups.
