After what transpired in the match, Theory took to Twitter and blamed Dominic to ruin his iconic moment of facing Rey Mysterio in a WWE ring. He wrote, “Never thought I’d get the chance to face @reymysterio, too bad his son had to ruin such an iconic moment in my career!”

Theory returned to the main roster last month and had his first two matches on Monday Night Raw against Jeff Hardy, defeating the legend on both occasions. Austin returned victorious against Dominik as well, which set a clash against his father Rey this past week.
