WWE Raw: AJ Styles’ WWE Contract- Former WWE champion AJ Styles collided against his former personal colossus Omos this past week on Raw. Styles looked like a ragbag against Omos as he was essentially squashed by the giant in their first-ever televised one-on-one bout.
WWE Raw: In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Brian Alvarez asked Dave Meltzer about the contract situation of AJ Styles and if his deal is expiring anytime soon. Meltzer said, “No, he’s not going anywhere,” and also revealed that the former WWE Champion signed a new deal with the company recently, but he isn’t sure if it is a 3 or 5-year deal.

“He just signed, I don’t know if it’s a 3 or a 5 [year deal]. It wasn’t that long ago when he signed it. He’s not going anywhere. He had the chance to go if he wanted to, but he was not interested. There were certainly overtures made for him, and they were good money overtures, but he’s in his mind. I think he’s a lifer there. Whether that’s the right or wrong call, I couldn’t tell you.”

WWE Raw: WWE is pushing Omos as a singles competitor
The objective of splitting AJ Styles & Omos was to give the latter a much-deserved singles push. With the split up, AJ is back in his babyface mode while Omos will go ahead as a heel with WWE planning to make him the modern-day Andre The Giant.

Alvarez also remarked that it was perhaps the worst match he has seen of AJ Styles in recent times, but the purpose of this match was to depict Omos as an unstoppable force, and the plan worked pretty well. After the squashing Styles received at the hands of Omos last week, fans were wondering if he is leaving the company, but that isn’t the case as the former WWE Champion will continue to be Phenomenal.
