WWE President Nick Khan stated this week that Vince McMahon sees Triple H as the unquestioned leader of the creative department, despite rumors and conjecture regarding McMahon’s influence on those making creative choices. Khan said McMahon sent an email to the whole company declaring that Triple H is the “sole Chief Creative Officer” and that McMahon would not be soliciting feedback on creative decisions during an interview on LightShed Live. Who is in charge of the WWE Creative department?
Since Vince McMahon returned to the organization, there has been a lot of debate about WWE Creative, particularly about McMahon’s position in it and whether Triple H is still in command of it. Due to the Raw that followed WrestleMania 39, where it appeared McMahon was in charge like before, everything went into overdrive.

Since then, most things have returned to what they were before. On April 7th, Nick Khan addressed Triple H’s status as the only Chief Creative Officer and McMahon’s involvement in creative in a filmed interview with LightShed Live (Which is only available if subscribed).
Khan clarified that McMahon and Triple H have a history of collaboration, so the latter is always available to the former if he needs guidance or assistance.
“Vince sent out a company-wide email on Monday [April 3], when this deal was officially announced, to our thousand or so employees, including myself, and in the email, he laid out the structure of the New company,” Khan added. “He made it clear that Paul Levesque (Triple H) continues to be the only Chief Creative Officer.”
Did Vince McMahon take control after the WWE-UFC merger by Endeavor?
To oversee a prospective sale of the business, Vince McMahon returned to WWE in January as chairman. Last week, Endeavor Group Holdings acquired 51% of WWE and combined it with UFC to form a single entity. WWE held Raw the night after WrestleMania on the same day the sale was announced by Endeavor. The episode received harsh criticism for its lack of shocks and haphazard scheduling.
Although McMahon apparently has not been backstage for episodes of Raw and SmackDown and has instead purportedly vetted the scripts remotely, this raised concerns among a significant segment of WWE’s fan base.
Although it still needs to be clarified how McMahon is involved, WWE publicly promotes that Triple H is still in charge of making creative decisions.
