Recently, on the February 21, 2023 episode of NXT, Nikkita Lyons returned. This is the first time she returned to NXT after her ACL surgery.
In the latest episode, Lyons was seen in a backstage segment. She was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell, and during the interview, she revealed that her doctor said that Lyons would be sidelined for an entire year. She said she was hoping it to be 11 months or so, but now it’s one year.
However, right then Tiffany Stratton appeared and complained that Lyons has been taking up television time. She then made fun of the fact that Lyons would be out of action for a long time.
Lyons stated that she doesn’t know who attacked her because she was attacked from behind. While Stratton mocked and said that if she would have done anything to Lyons, then Lyons would miss in-ring action permanently.

How WWE NXT presented Nikkita Lyons’ injury?
To give a proper storyline for Nikkita Lyons’ injury, NXT portrayed that Nikkita Lyons was attacked in the parking lot.
They showcased that a sneak attack took place on Lyons in the parking lot. She could be seen holding her right leg. Lyra Valkyria and Indi Hartwell rushed to check on her, while the cameras displayed Zoey Stark leaving the Parking lot.
Later on in the episode, the commentator announced that following the attack, Lyons was taken to a local medical facility.
However, now it seems that Lyons would be sidelined for a year. Hope she gets well soon.
