Recently, Drew McIntyre spoke to Pro Wrestling Illustrated where he talked on various topics including another reign as WWE Champion. While speaking, he mentioned he wants to split the Undisputed Universal Champion for a good reason that would benefit both Raw and SmackDown brands.
On the other hand, he also heaped praise on Roman Reigns who is unstoppable since becoming the double champ. McIntyre agreed Reigns is having a title reign of his lifetime.
“I wanna get a title in front of live fans. I had it for 300 days with nobody there. Obviously Clash [at the Castle] would have been an awesome moment if I was able to pull it off. Roman’s on this run of a lifetime right now – curious to see where that goes. Ideally we’ll get those titles separated back on their respective shows and back on the live events and all over. But can’t deny what Roman’s done with them and how he’s representing [WWE] as champion.” [H/T WrestleZone]
Last year, Drew McIntyre had hard luck capturing the Undisputed Universal Title at WWE Clash at the Castle. However, he put forth a great fight against the Head of the Table.

As noted earlier, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus are rumored for a potential triple threat match with Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Precisely, both men will face Gunther at WrestleMania 39 in a huge title match.
I’m told while not decided 100%, there are plans to feature an Intercontinental Championship 3 way match at WrestleMania: Gunther v Sheamus v Drew McIntyre. There are a number of supporters within creative that not only want the match, but they want it towards the top. TBD.

Earlier this month, WrestleVotes gave a report of a possible triple-threat match-up at WrestleMania Hollywood. Sheamus is trying his best to get another title shot to complete his wall of achievements to become the Grand Slam Champion.
