WWE News: WWE to host ‘grand scale’ live event in India next year

As per Sportkeeda Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta, WWE has planned a grand event in India next year in January. The event is slated to take place on a ‘grand scale’ in Hyderabad. The expected date of the show is likely to be 18th January before the Royal Rumble weekend.

Former WWE champion Drew McIntyre is slated to be at the grand event. Earlier this month, Drew McIntyre traveled to India to work on a big “Bollywood Project” and also exchanged words with several fans. Moreover, the company has put faith in the Scottish Warrior and his dedication to work. The event will feature a combination of both Indian and International superstars.

In 2021, WWE held a Superstar Spectacle show for Indian fans which featured Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher against Jinder Mahal and Bollywood Boys. The show premiered on the occasion of Republic Day in 2021. Meanwhile, WWE has also tried to push superstars from Indian origins and also desires to work on vast projects for its massive fan base in India.
