Earlier, WWE advertised McIntyre for a six-man tag team match with the New Day against The Usos and the new member of the Bloodline Solo Sikoa. Surprisingly, WWE fans saw Braun Strowman instead of Drew McIntyre, who led The New Day to victory. The former Universal Champion returned for the first time to the live events after his return to WWE.
As per PWInsider, The Scottish Warrior experienced food poisoning and is said to be extremely ill. Despite being ill, he showed up on the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown in a brawl with Karrion Kross. WWE fans saw Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross exchanging heavy blows until Scarlett delivered a low blow, followed by a Kross Jacket from Kross.
Drew McIntyre received treatment on Friday Night SmackDown and later was sent home to recover. Later, WWE management brought the Monster among All Monsters back to WWE Live Events to team up with The New Day.

The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross continues on the blue brand. The former NXT Champion has attacked McIntyre multiple times, hinting at a major match in WWE. Although the match took a while to come into the picture, both men will soon face each other at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event.
On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the Scottish Warrior announced a strap match with Karrion Kross at Extreme Rules. Later, WWE fans saw a short teaser of McIntyre beating Kross with the strap before their first battle.
