WWE News: WWE might split the Undisputed Universal Title after WrestleMania 39

Recently, reports emerged about Roman Reigns possibly losing one of his titles before WrestleMania to face The Rock or Cody Rhodes. However, as per Xero News, WWE is likely to split the titles after WrestleMania Hollywood.

Xero News reported the only way Roman Reigns will lose one of his titles is through the WWE draft and there are no other plans outside the discussion.

“The only talks about Roman splitting the titles is to vacate the title in the draft after Mania. As been reporting for a while now. Other than that there is no other talks/plans for roman to drop outside of using the draft to do this. 3 sources have stated this.”

Earlier this week, Wrestling News.co reported WWE has mixed plans for Roman Reigns and there is a backup plan for the champion at WrestleMania Night 2. WWE planned Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre for Night 1 and Roman Reigns vs The Rock or Cody Rhodes for Night 2.

WWE News: Roman Reigns vs The Rock is still a question until next year’s Royal Rumble

The Rock is a top WWE star and a Hollywood actor. With several movie shoots booked for next year and XFL, the Brahma Bull’s WWE return is still in doubt. As per Wrestling Observer Radio, the Hollywood star has a little time left to give his final answer to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 39.

Here’s the situation. If Dwayne Johnson is on Mania, he’s wrestling Reigns. That is not off the boards at all, nor is it a lock. So there have to be back-up plans put in place. Right now if anyone says that there is a main event locked in for Mania, they are dead wrong because nothing is for certain. Basically the idea is Dwayne Johnson has to make up his mind, and most likely a final date would best be just before the Rumble so they could start main event plans at the Rumble show.”
