WWE likely to book the IC Title in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 39
As per a recent report, WWE creative team is likely to book the Intercontinental Title in a triple-threat bout. That being said, fans can enjoy triple-threat match situations once again and get the most from it.
Recently, WrestleVotes gave an update on the Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 39. The report stated Gunther might defend his IC title in a triple-threat bout against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.

Currently, WWE has disclosed no plans for Road to WrestleMania but soon WWE might build the potential match following Elimination Chamber.
As noted, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are in a temporary alliance who competed in the SmackDown Tag Team Tournament. However, they withdraw themselves after the Viking Raiders attacked them. It seems both men would eventually face each other in an IC Title trilogy.
On the other hand, Sheamus is still waiting for his IC Title shot which will complete his wall of achievements winning every main roster title. Last year, he faced Gunther in a losing effort at WWE Clash at the Castle which was one of the best matches of his career.
