Recently Stone Cold Steve Austin revealed that he wished he would have faced John Cena during his in-ring career.
Stone Cold Steve Austin recently spoke to Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast. There he stated that he would have loved to face John Cena. Not only that, The Texas Rattlesnake praised Cena for his ability to get fans invested in his matches.
However, later he expressed his disappointment stating that the match might never actually happen.
Steve Austin stated “God-man, Working with him would’ve been a highlight and I had a bunch of highlights and it would’ve been a real special thing because there’s something about John that people get so invested in his matches. He’s a very special talent. It would’ve been great to have a match with him but will it ever happen? No. But I think very highly of John”
Stone Cold Steve Austin fought against several popular WWE Superstars but he never got the chance to face John Cena. This is because Cena rose to popularity just after Stone Cold Steve Austin retired from in-ring matches.
