In the main event of Hell in a Cell, Cody Rhodes entered the steel cage structure with his torn pectoral deck. According to the reports, he suffered an injury during weight training, which damaged his right shoulder and chest. Despite the injury, the American Nightmare defeated Seth Rollins in an intense match inside Hell in a Cell.
Many WWE fans were happy to see Cody Rhodes in the ring and they supported him during his match. Even WWE’s backstage appreciated Cody Rhodes’ performance at Hell in a Cell. According to WrestleVotes, The American Nightmare got a positive reaction from the backstage for his incredible performance, which stands as a good example for many wrestlers.

WWE News: How long will Cody Rhodes will take off from WWE?
Cody Rhodes suffered a torn pectoral muscle during his weight training. Currently, the muscle is swollen and Rhodes’ body is on a rest period. It is unsure how long the muscle will take to recover. As seen at Hell in a Cell, Rhodes’ injury seemed serious. However, he competed with the injury.

Although there were speculations regarding WWE faking Rhodes’ injury, they are not real. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed the news of Rhodes’ injury. Currently, the American Nightmare will be taking some time off to recover from his injury. Eventually, WWE will write him off from the title picture until he returns.
