The Empress of Tomorrow has become the first female superstar to win the Royal Rumble, MITB, and the Elimination Chamber. With her recent Elimination Chamber win, she joined the class with the only 4 superstars to do this in their careers. Asuka has been a top WWE superstar since her debut in 2016 on the NXT Brand. The Japanese native quickly grabbed the spotlight after her debut on WWE’s development brand. Soon after, she went on to challenge Bayley in a successful title victory over then champion Bayley.
After crowning herself as the NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka went on an undefeated streak with a historic title reign of 510 days. Shortly after relinquishing the title, she debuted on the red brand where she progressed to win the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018. However, her major loss came at WrestleMania 34 when she lost against Charlotte Flair.
In the upcoming years, the Empress continued her progress on the main roster, switching brands. During this journey, she won the Raw Women’s Title twice while the SmackDown Women’s Title once. Moreover, her significant wins against top superstars made her a big star in WWE.
Asuka to face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 39
At the 2023 Elimination Chamber, Asuka successfully defeated five other women to win the chamber match. This win has allowed her to challenge the current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39. As noted, Bianca Belair and Asuka faced each other in the year 2022, but Asuka hasn’t registered any win over the EST of WWE.
