Speaking recently on the The Town podcast, Shapiro shed light on the rumors doing the rounds on social media. He admitted to have previously enquired about buying the global juggernaut but was informed that it is not for sale.

That would be something that would be interesting and worth exploring. Would we buy it? Who knows? Last I checked, it wasn’t for sale. We’re interested in anything in the owned sports properties segment,” Shapiro said. [H/T: Cultaholic]

What does Stephanie McMahon think about selling WWE?

The billion dollar princess, along with Nick Khan, was promoted to the post of CEO after Vince McMahon decided to end his tenure as WWE Chairman. Stephanie’s husband and 14-time world champion Triple H also saw an upgrade in his role as the new Chief Content Officer of the promotion.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince’s daughter is said to have addressed the ongoing rumors about the sale of the leading business in the wrestling industry.

She also addresses the between the lines of the question which is a sale. She said VKM is still controlling shareholder and their management team is always thinking about what is best,” the report stated.
