WWE News: Tommaso Ciampa injury: WWE Superstar Tommaso Ciampa has been missing from WWE programming of late and the reason for the same has finally come to light. The Miz has been looking for his tag team partner for a while now. Ciampa was the one who used to save the former world champion from the attacks of Dexter Lumis.

In a recent Instagram post, Cimapa revealed that he has been dealing with an injury. The post noted that he is currently focused on dealing with an issue with his hip labrum and expressed gratitude to WWE’s medical team and his family. Here is what he wrote:
“The road to recovery begins. It’s a familiar road. Almost too familiar. Special thanks to Dr Emblom and his team for taking such incredible care of me. Thanks to the WWE medical team for once again putting me back together. And thanks to my “nurses” at home for always giving me perspective. It took a while but we finally found the cause to all of that glute/SI/back pain. A hip labrum that “looked like shredded cheese” according to my wife, who watched the surgery. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. WWE News: Tommaso Ciampa comments on making it to the main roster in WWE
After flourishing on NXT as the brand’s champion, Ciampa made his main roster debut earlier this year. Speaking to WrestleRant in a recent interview, the 37-year-old commented on how it feels to be on a bigger stage.
“For me with wrestling, it’s the process is what I’ve always loved,” Tommaso Ciampa said. “I love that everybody has their individual stories. I love that I’ve had over 18 years to create my own story. And I liked that this is a big part of it. Like just the timing of the main roster was perfect. Doing SummerSlam on the main roster is far different than doing it with NXT Takeovers. It’s been a blast this week.” [H/T – WrestleZone]

Ciampa’s return date has not been confirmed yet by WWE. It remains to be seen how the superstar is booked when he is back.
