There are noises making rounds that The Rock might return at the WWE Survivor Series PPV in November this year and challenge his cousin Roman Reigns for a penultimate battle at Wrestlemania 38. However, Roman Reigns has now given a hint that the match might happen a year later at WrestleMania 39, scheduled to take place in April 2023 at the SoFi Stadium in California.
The Universal Champion appeared on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, where he revealed the stage of a possible match against his cousin.
“Do we do it now, or do we wait until we are in his backyard of Hollywood? It just adds to the narrative. It adds another dynamic to speculate on. Obviously, AT&T Stadium, Dallas, home of the Cowboys, 100,000-plus fans can be in attendance, that is obviously an awesome scenario, but SoFi Stadium, brand-new facility out there in L.A., hmm, that makes quite the argument in its own right.”
