He is a 16-time world champion who wrestled the last match of his career earlier this year at Starrcast V at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. At the event, he teamed up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Before returning to action earlier this year, Flair lost his retirement match to Shawn Michaels at WWE’s WrestleMania XXIV in March 2008. He has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice – once for his singles career and the second time as a part of the famous Four Horsemen faction. WWE News: Ric Flair has no problem in wrestling at next year’s WWE Royal Rumble
It was recently reported that the 73-year-old would be present at next year’s Royal Rumble. While many thought Ric would be wrestling again, he addressed the situation in the latest episode of his To Be The Man podcast. The legend professed that he has been invited to the 30th-anniversary episode of WWE RAW which is six days prior to the Rumble. However, he stated that he is open to wrestling at the Rumble if asked to do so.
“I’m still looking forward to the thirtieth anniversary. By the way, of course, social media screwed that up, I have not been invited to the Rumble. I am going to San Antonio to sign autographs separately, on the day of the Rumble. I was not invited to the Rumble. However if they want me to put my gear on, like at Last Match, that’s fine”.
Ric Flair has clarified that he has been invited to Raw's 30th-anniversary special taking place before the Royal Rumble, but has not been invited to the PLE. He has, however, said that if WWE wants him in the annual Rumble match he will put his gear on.

A year ago Ric Flair’s allegation about Hogan’s poor health made the headlines. In the latest episode of his podcast, Flair once again provided an update on how the superstar has been lately.
I talked to him quite a bit…he’s doing well. He’s just bought a home and he’s got a new girl. And he’s–you know I hear different stories but as of recently, he’s in much better health than he has been. By that I mean I think his back is a little bit better.
