Recently, NJPW STRONG Openweight champion Fred Rosser mentioned dressing like a hustler in the upcoming Halloween show. He wants to dress up like a Black John Cena to wrestle at the show.
While speaking to Insiders Edge: A Pro Wrestling podcast, he recalled someone comparing him to the 16-time champion and revealed to use the concept of Black John Cena for NPJW’s next show.

“New Japan Strong is doing a show in New York, a Halloween show, and I’m thinking about dressing up as the Black John Cena. So we’ll see how that goes at a New Japan STRONG show. I’m still thinking about it. I think that’s what I might be for Halloween, the Black John Cena, but it’s gonna be my own way, you know, my own version of it, so we’ll see if I do it or not. John Cena debuted in 2002 with an interesting character called the Doctor of Thuganomics, which later transitioned into The Face of the Company winning several accolades to his name. He competed in many intense matches with other superstars like the Edge, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, The Rock, and many more.
Being the face of the company, Cena fulfilled many fan wishes and also helped many young fans beat cancer. The Prototype also holds the record for most wishes fulfilled through the “Make a Wish Foundation”.
