WWE News: Multi-time Champion recalls Vince McMahon once rejected his character change idea
Recently, the 46-year opened up about a unique pitch that he made to the former CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon. Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, he provided details of presenting an idea of undergoing a character transition. The pitch included Lashley adding a few pounds to his physique to present himself as a depressed guy.
“I told Vince a year ago, I think a year or two ago, I told him, ‘I want to do this character.’ He said, ‘What is it?’ I said, ‘If I get beat one time, I want to go into this severe depression and put on like 40, 50, 60, or 70 pounds and just be fat, and then be a completely different character and then have like somebody like an MVP, or somebody that’s on my side, kind of like, pull me back and then have the crowd watch this transition back to me.’ He said, ‘There’s no way you can do that.’ I said, ‘Man, I think I can.” Lashley said. Eventually, Mr. McMahon rejected the idea and made the All-mighty one of the biggest stars once again in WWE, winning the world title twice.

WWE News: Bobby Lashley will face Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel
On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, the former United States Champion unleashed a brutal assault on Brock Lesnar. He speared the former WWE Champion through the barricade and eventually slammed him on the announce desk. The rivalry between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar got underway after the Beast cost him his US Title against Seth Rollins.

Recently, WWE announced a match between the two men at Crown Jewel, scheduled to take place next month. However, the two are no stangers to each other as earlier this year, Lashley defeated Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2022 after Roman Reigns aided him to win the WWE title.
