During the start of the match, both men squared off in the ring when the Tribal Chief delivered a stiff clothesline to Kevin Owens in return for the slap Owens gave at the Survivor Series WarGames.

As per FightFul Select, Kevin Owens required stitches following Friday Night SmackDown after being hit by a stiff clothesline from Roman Reigns. On the other hand, Owens did win the match with John Cena and made history at the end of the year.

Many fans believed it was the payoff for the former Universal Champion’s mistake during the WarGames match between The Bloodline and Brawling Brutes. As noted earlier, Reigns and Owens had a brief backstage heat after KO slapped Roman Reigns in an unplanned spot injuring his eardrum. This put the Undisputed Universal Champion on the sidelines for weeks.

WWE News: Kevin Owens was not the only one busted open on Friday Night SmackDown
During the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Braun Strowman and Gunther confronted each other in the squared ring. Initially, Strowoman challenged the Ring General for a title shot at Royal Rumble, however, a brawl broke down between him and the Imperium.
The brawl concluded with Strowman being attacked by the Imperium when Ricochet arrived in the ring with a steel chair. He delivered the chair shot on the ring rope when Gunther escaped. Unfortunately, the Intercontinental Champion ended up getting a chair shot on the back of his head. Following the segment, WWE Officials and doctors immediately watched over Gunther’s busted head which was bleeding heavily.
As per PWInsider, following the errant chair shot the Austrian star walked behind the curtains and seemed “OK”. We hope for a speedy recovery for the champion.
