As per the recent reports, the Prototype filmed a segment with current US Champion Austin Theory on December 30. John Cena appeared on the final WWE SmackDown of the year where he faced Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a tag team match. However, it is reported the 16-time champion filmed a special segment ahead of WrestleMania with his rumored WrestleMania opponent.

Recently, Fightful Select reported Austin Theory flew to Tampa on December 30 to film an additional segment with John Cena. It is not known if it is a tv commercial or a segment for their upcoming feud. Meanwhile, he was also replaced by Finn Balor from the steel cage match with Seth Rollins in a house show.
Currently, John Cena is set for the SoFi stadium show but it is unknown who will be his opponent. Two months back, reports emerged regarding John Cena vs Logan Paul, however, it might not be the case in the future.
John Cena teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on December 30
On the final episode of Friday Night SmackDown, John Cena and Kevin Owens teamed to face the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a tag team match. The match featured Owens and Cena overpowering Zayn and Reigns, eventually, winning the bout.
During the match, Reigns tried his best to keep Cena out but apparently, the Prizefighter tagged him to end the match pinning Sami Zayn. Moreover, WWE fans loved the match with Cena’s return and gave a positive response to his in-ring return. Earlier this year, the Champ completed 20 years in WWE and he received blessings from Vince McMahon himself.
