In an interview with AEW superstar Thunder Rosa, Goldust revealed a major flaw in the WWE coaching system. Here is what the former Intercontinental Champion said.

“The other company’s different,” Rhodes told Thunder Rosa on her Taco Vlog. “You don’t get to coach. I did occasionally before the shows and stuff like that,” Rhodes recalled. “But coaching here [in AEW] is way different than producing there. We call it producing there. We call it coaching here. It’s really strict. They gotta do exactly as they’re told. There are lots of things they can and can not do. It sucks for them because they can’t spread their wings and do some cool stuff as you ladies do. They’re so strict. It’s not the same there. It sucks. It’s hard.”

WWE News: Former WWE Superstar Reveals a Flaw in the Company’s Talent Development Style- Since 2016, WWE has majorly focused on the development of women’s wrestling. More women’s main events, an all-female PPV, and women’s main eventing WrestleMania are some big examples of what direction the company is going in. While Goldust applauds WWE’s effort he feels AEW has much more potential.

“WWE has done a good job at that. But I want to see us, AEW, do that. Right? And it’s not because I don’t like the guys, but I truly, truly see the desire in you ladies and how you want to make it to that next step. And that means a lot to me because I like the challenge. I like that challenge, to get you guys there. In any way possible that I can lead you to success, I want to get you there because I care.”

Multiple companies promoting women’s wrestling are a win-win for all. Britt Baker, Jade Cargill, and Thunder Rosa have already made a name for themselves. The future looks bright for the ladies in the land of the elite.
