WWE News: Former United States Champion Rumored To Return in WWE: Reports
Cesaro is one of the top superstars in WWE who had a long relationship with WWE. He spent 11 years with WWE until his exit earlier this year. Eventually, the Swiss Superman denied signing a new contract after WWE failed to negotiate with Cesaro. Many WWE fans thought Cesaro would head towards AEW who might land him a better opportunity.
Since WWE’s mass releases, AEW hired several ex-WWE superstars into the promotion. Surprisingly, Cesaro hadn’t opted out for AEW who could give a better contract. As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Cesaro will be soon back in WWE. On the contrary, he mentioned there are no words regarding Tony Khan’s approach towards Cesaro.
“It’s not known if AEW made an offer for him but Tony Khan has spoke highly of him. But with the size of some of the new contracts WWE has given, there is the feeling a guy like Cesaro, in his early 40s, will return because he’s comfortable with WWE even though he recognizes he’ll never be used on top, but there’s nothing definite in that direction.” [H/T Sportskeeda]

On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE featured Max Dupri in a backstage conversation with WWE Official Adam Pearce. During his conversation, Max Dupri announced his first client to arrive on SmackDown next week.

As per Fightful Select, WWE might bring Cesaro back very soon and there are certain chances of his return next week in a different gimmick with Max Dupri. Earlier, Cesaro demanded a huge contract like Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens but WWE denied it. However, this time, it seems WWE has finally agreed to bring back the Swiss Superman.
