Drew McIntyre has been the Champion Ambassador for the event for a year now. He made a surprise visit to the Special Olympics athletes and gave them his special training, including his special strength program, and spent some valuable time with them.

During his visit, Drew McIntyre stated that “I knew I’d be inspired, but I didn’t realize the level that we’d get to and just how much I really want to do and how much I really want to be involved. I couldn’t have anticipated even close. Like when I heard today, technically I’m going to SummerSlam media tour – we’re got a big show in Nissan Stadium on July 30th. When I heard Special Olympics was involved today in person, I got giddy for a second and was like ‘oh that’s great I get to go along and that’s something that’s truly a joy in my life right now.”

The 2-time WWE Champion spent a good time with the athletes and coaches wished them luck for their future and also mentioned his return to Nashville for the 2022 SummerSlam.
WWE News: Drew McIntyre is Possibly To Be Roman Reigns’ next opponent
During a recent report by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, he gave an update on Roman Reigns. He mentioned WWE booked Roman Reigns for WrestleMania Backlash’s Main Event. However, there is no confirmation of its next opponent.
Looking at the main roster. the top superstars who match the level of Roman Reigns are Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley. However, few of them are already booked for WrestleMania Backlash except McIntyre. It is likely that WWE will push Drew McIntyre to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash.
The possible angle for Roman Reigns’ title picture is yet to be revealed. On the upcoming edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre will face Sami Zayn in a lumberjack match.
