Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently mentioned that WWE is going ahead with Brock Lesnar vs Omos. He stated this match was changed last week or ago before finally adding Omos into the picture.
“Brock Lesnar vs. Omos. The only thing we know is that whatever the Lesnar plan was, and it wasn’t Gunther, that is that it changed in the last week or two. Next week on Raw they are doing an angle that would either set up this match, or the angle is a swerve for something else. But television would lead you to believe this is it.”
It is unknown who WWE chose before Omos. Although there were speculations for Gunther to be Lesnar’s opponent, it didn’t sit well as Gunther holds the IC Title, for which he has to lose the title in order to set the match. On the other hand, Lesnar’s trilogy with Bobby Lashley has also ended at the Elimination Chamber.
That being said, WWE will go with the current plan for the former WWE Champion. On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Omos laid an open challenge for Brock Lesnar for a WrestleMania match. Next week, Brock Lesnar will be on Monday Night Raw to answer the Colossal’s challenge.
