WWE News: Big E Gives a Serious Update on his Neck Injury
The former WWE Champion took to his Twitter to address his health update on the neck injury he suffered earlier this year. Big E revealed his C1 vertebra is not recovering well and he might have to wear a brace for more than 4-6 weeks.
For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be.

The medical reports of the neck injury gave certain cracks in the C1 vertebra, which is attached to the spinal cord and is responsible for moving the head in different directions, bearing the skull weight.
Before WrestleMania 38, Big E suffered a fall on his neck during a tag team match with Sheamus and Ridge Holland. The former WWE Champion and Holland were fighting on the sidelines when Holland deliver a suplex resulting in Big E landing on his neck. After the match, Big E was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors treated him.

Big E Reveals Narrowly Escaping a Stroke from his Injury
The former WWE Champion’s neck injury made him unfit for competing in the ring. During his first appointment with the doctors regarding his neck injury, Big E revealed how he narrowly escaped from a stroke. Usually, neck injuries affect the nervous system and the brain, leading to concussions and strokes.
Had my first doctor’s appointment and learning (because of the C1 fracture) I narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death is very sobering. Life feels even more precious and valuable now.

During an update on the neck injury, Big recalled doctors mentioning him to be lucky who escaped a stroke. “Had my first doctor’s appointment and learning (because of the C1 fracture) I narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death is very sobering. Life feels even more precious and valuable now.”

Currently, the former WWE Champion is advised to wear a brace until his neck doesn’t show any signs of recovery in the C1 vertebrate. We hope for a speedy recovery for the champ and to get back soon in the ring.
