On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Austin Theory and Mustafa Ali competed in a singles match. During the match, both men tried to perform a top rope maneuver when a bitch occurred resulting in a scary botch featuring Theory and Ali in a frankensteiner move. Surprisingly, no one suffered an injury during the botched move.

Recently, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported the backstage situation after the botch. Although the botch might have injured one of them, they stood on equal grounds backstage. Precisely, Austin Theory was apologetic for the botch that occurred on Monday Night Raw.
Ross reported, “Regarding the top rope frankensteiner botch, we’re told that it happened because Theory didn’t hold on to Ali. The idea was for Theory to block the move and lift Ali up into a powerbomb. From there Ali was supposed to counter that move back into the rana. It was Ali that called for the ref to check on Theory and Ali called the audible for the satellite DDT. Theory was also very apologetic backstage for the slip up. But there was no heat between the two. Backstage sources indicated that Theory was very apologetic for the spot afterwards.”
Theory and Ali continued to battle in the United States Match until Dolph Ziggler knocked the champion with a super kick. However, the segment ended up in the 25-year-old’s favor after he delivered an A-Town Down to the Showoff.
