Sami Zayn’s storyline with Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline saw several twists and turns and eventually got himself accepted into the family. This storyline continued for weeks and grew stronger connections among the fans. However, Zayn was never supposed to be on the top with The Bloodline.
Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio gave notes on Zayn’s Trail on the recent episode of Monday Night Raw where he added about the Honorary Uce’s storyline. He mentioned WWE never decided to extend the storyline further.
“They kept going with it. They did something for three weeks, it kept working. They extended it, it was working. It was handed to them, it was not their plan. It was not the original plan for Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. The plan was not for Sami Zayn become a superstar. They saw that it clicked and decoded let’s go with it, let’s make him a star this season.”
Sami Zayn aided The Usos to retain the Raw Tag Team Titles on Raw is XXX
On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, The Usos defended their Raw Tag Team Titles against The Judgment Day. However, after a few minutes into the match, Jimmy Uso was not able to continue the match due to an injury. This led WWE Official to announce a forfeit if The Usos can’t compete and relinquish their tag titles.
Surprisingly, Sami Zayn stepped in to replace Jimmy Uso who continued the match further in a winning effort. Eventually, WWE fans saw Jey Uso and the Honorary Uce get along to defend the tag team titles and successfully defeated Judgment day. This gave hope into the fans’ minds for another extension for Zayn in The Bloodline storyline.
