WWE Money in the Bank 2023: Who are in danger of losing their Championship title at the upcoming PPV event?
Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins became the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Recently Rollins defended the Championship for the first time against Damian Priest in a winning effort.
However, during his match against Damian Priest of the Judgment Day, another member of the stable, Finn Balor ran interference. But, Balor ended up receiving a superkick from Seth Rollins. Following the end of the match, while Rollins was celebrating his win against Damian Priest inside the ring, Finn Balor got into the ring and had a staredown with Seth Rollins. Thus, a potential match between the two WWE Superstars was teased.
Hence, Finn Balor might soon challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Money in the Bank. Balor might go on to defeat Rollins at the pay-per-view event, to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Asuka
At WWE Night of Champions 2023, Asuka ended Bianca Belair’s legendary reign to become the new Raw Women’s Champion. Following this, on June 2, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw, Asuka appeared as a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect.
During the segment, several women superstars came down to the ring to have a verbal battle. However, Asuka sneaked out and started walking towards the back. Meanwhile, Bianca Belair attacked Asuka from behind and a brawl broke out. Soon officials came out to separate the two WWE Superstars. Thus, the feud between Asuka and Bianca Belair is far from over.
Belair might Challenge Asuka to a rematch at the upcoming PLE event and claim her title back from the current champion.
Gunther
A few weeks ago, Matt Riddle teamed up with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to defeat The Imperium. Following that tension was seen rising between Matt Riddle and Gunther. Also, Gunther mocked Riddle backstage stating the latter should win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and cash in on him.
Thus, Matt Riddle might soon challenge Gunther for an Intercontinental Championship match at WWE Money in the Bank 2023. We might even get to witness a new champion emerging. Let’s see.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
Recently, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been constantly feuding with The Imperium. Previously, Zayn and Owens mocked the Imperium, which led to the announcement of a Six Man Tag Team Match. Following that, Zayn and KO faced Damian Priest and Finn Balor. However, The Imperium ran interference during the match thereby helping Balor and Priest to pick up a win.
With that, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle faced Gunther, Giovanni Vinci, and Ludwig Kaiser in a six-man tag team match, where the former team prevailed. Also, recently on Monday Night Raw this week, Gunther defeated Kevin Owens in a singles bout.
It is to be noted, previously Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser stated that they have their eyes on the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Thus, Vinci and Kaiser might challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to a title match at the 2023 Money in the Bank PLE event and dethrone the current champs.
