Rey Mysterio reveals what happened when his wife caught him taking painkillers
In the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, Rey Mysterio talked about his untold addiction to Painkillers. He mentioned how after his surgeries he got fixated on painkillers and when his wife caught him, she gave him an ultimatum.
Rey said “After so many surgeries I got hooked on painkillers for a very long time and my wife caught me one time we were on vacation..she goes uh so when we get back home you can either take your pills or you can take your family you choose”
He continued “That really opened me up man, and it made me a stronger person.. that was a big life changer for me you know, and a different perspective of life and the appreciation of family, and the support of my wife you know it’s crazy yeah she’s been there from day one “
Thus, this became a life changer for Mysterio. He also expressed his gratitude to his wife for being there beside him since the first day.
Recently at WrestleMania 39 Rey Mysterio faced his son Dominik Mysterio in a singles bout. Rey defeated Dominik with a 619 followed by a Frog Splash. Following the end of the match, Rey celebrated his win with his wife and daughter inside the ring.
