WWE Day 1 WWE Championship: Two superstars injured during WWE Day 1- Ridge Holland and former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre got injured on the very first day of 2022 at the WWE Day 1 PPV event.
WWE Day 1 WWE Championship: Ridge Holland competed in the kick-off show in a tag-team match where he teamed with his idol Sheamus to take on Riochcet & Cesaro. He broke his nose during the bout when Ricochet attempted a standing moonsault but landed with his foot on Ridge’s face, and to worsen it, his shin stuck on Ridge’s nose.

After the match got over, WWE broke the news on Twitter that Ridge Holland suffered a broken nose. The caption read, “Ridge Holland suffered a broken nose in his match tonight at WWE Day 1.”
WWE Day 1 WWE Championship:Drew McIntyre suffered a cervical neck strain
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defeated Madcap Moss comprehensively tonight at WWE Day 1. However, a sore loss to Moss led him and Happy Cobin to brutally assault the former WWE Champion backstage and make him suffer an injury.
WWE posted the injury update on Twitter with a picture of Drew McIntyre and a caption reading, “INJURY UPDATE: @DMcIntyreWWE suffered a cervical neck strain with severe contusions. Upon further evaluation by medical staff, he will have a follow-up with an orthopedic cervical specialist.”
