WWE Clash at the Castle Live Results: Gunther brutalizes the Celtic Warrior to retain the Intercontinental Title
The Celtic Warrior Sheamus went one-on-one against the Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Although Sheamus was backed up by the Brawling Brutes, Gunther brought his reinforcements with Ludwig Kaiser and Vinci. Before the match even started, the Brawling Brutes attacked the Imperium, leaving Sheamus and Gunther in a fierce stare-down.

Soon, the match started with Gunther’s vicious strikes on Sheamus. The Ring General was on a rampage, decimating the Celtic Warrior. Gunther delivered continuous chops overpowering the challenger. On the other hand, WWE Universe in the UK chanted (Walter) Gunther’s previous ring name before his transition to the main roster.

The Intercontinental Champion punished the former WWE Champion by brutally assaulting him. The WWE Universe was shocked to watch the Celtic Warrior being dominated for a long time. Despite Sheamus bringing his momentum back and attacking Gunther with his brute strength, he failed to win the match.
Both men competed in an intense match, but Gunther stood tall in the end. In the final moments of the match, Gunther delivered a powerbomb followed by a reckoning clothesline.

Since Gunther debuted on the main roster, his only companion, Ludwig Kaiser, accompanied him. However, the Intercontinental Champion reunited the Imperium with the return of Giovanni Vinci. Imperium was one of the dominant factions on the NXT UK brand that held both NXT and NXT UK tag team titles multiple times.

With the reunion, Gunther would be unstoppable on the blue brand. He will once again become a dominant Ring General with his two allies Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. The Intercontinental Champion has successfully defended his title against Sheamus and will continue his reign.
