“We will be informing all state units of the Indian cricket board to not allow him inside stadiums. He won’t be given media accreditation for home matches and we will also be writing to ICC to blacklist him. Players will be asked not to engage with him,” a BCCI official told The Indian Express.

The issue was highlighted in February when Saha shared screenshots of a WhatsApp chat. In the chat, then unnamed journalist said that he would never interview him as he did not respond to an interview request. It was after Saha was dropped from the Indian Test team.

In the screenshots, Majumdar said, “You did not call. Never again will I interview you. I don’t take insults kindly. And I will remember this.”
After Saha’s revelation, BCCI formed a three-member committee to probe the matter. BCCI Vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and Prabhtej Bhatia, who is an apex council member interviewed both Saha and Majumdar on the allegations.

However, Boria Majumder, in a Twitter post, said Wriddhiman Saha had doctored the WhatsApp chat and he had the evidence to prove it. But as it stands, BCCI has decided to stand by the centrally contracted player.
“I had been deeply anguished by what has transpired in the last few weeks and that’s because Wriddhiman Saha has fabricated, doctored and manipulated screenshots and has put it out in the public domain trying to implicate me and garner public sympathy in the process,” Majumdar in the video.
