Women’s Premier League 2023: The UP Warriorz, one of the five teams in the eagerly anticipated 2023 Women’s Premier League, became a reality after Capri Global Holdings Private Limited won the offer for the Lucknow-based franchise at an auction held by the BCCI for INR 757 Crores.

The UP Warriorz logo is made up of four primary parts: a shield to hold it all together, a sword inspired by the motion of the Sarus crane, and wings that expand out like the sun in the morning. The most important component is the sarus crane, which is the highest flying bird in the world and the state bird of Uttar Pradesh. It serves as a symbol for movement, grace, balance, and attaining new heights.
The Warriorz have also focused on their think tank, with Anju Jain, a 2005 recipient of the Arjuna Award, serving as the team’s assistant coach and former England cricketer Jon Lewis serving as the team’s head coach. The bowling coach is former Australian cricketer Ashley Noffke. In the meantime, Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar, a four-time world champion, will serve as the UP Warriorz’s mentor.
