Besides, if one looks at his other non-winning throws, he has been quite solid and consistent. It is that factor, which has pleased Neeraj and made him even confident ahead of the World Championships.
“I have got the confidence from those three competitions. It is not only about the best throws that I have done in those events. If you look at the other throws also, there is good consistency also. That is also why I am feeling good before the World Championships,” said Neeraj Chopra in a virtual interaction on Wednesday.
“I have got personal best twice last month, so yes, I have become more confident. I can do my best. I just missed the 90m mark by 6 cms.”

With Neeraj having come close to the 90m mark, it remains to be seen if the thrower can deliver at the big stage. He has been putting in serious hours of training to bring his A game at the World Championships. However, for all the competitors, it is not about breaching the 90m mark or not, but it is all about standing atop the podium, which will matter the most.
