Kaur has now become the first and only player on the planet- across Men and Women’s cricket to feature in 150 T20I games for India. Kaur played her 149th T20I against England on Sunday and shattered Rohit Sharma’s record for most appearances (148) in the shortest format. She has now featured in her 150th game against Ireland. Among women, New Zealand’s Suzie Bates is second in the list of most T20Is played at 143. In men’s category, Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik is second in the list with 124 matches.

Meanwhile team India completed a tricky victory over Ireland in their group stage encounter of the Women’s T20 World Cup. Batting first, team India posted 155 runs on the board. Smriti Mandhana smashed 87 off 56 balls to help India post a competitive total on a tricky pitch. In reply Ireland were 54/2 in 8.2 overs before the rain halted the game. In the end, India were judged as winners by five runs as per the Duckworth-Lewis method.
