In continuation of the ongoing England tour of West Indies series, England would be desperate to get a series victory after losing the T20I series 3-2 on the last match. England has undergone a massive change in their lineup with pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad being the key missouts. Though the pacers were not to be fully blamed for England’s horrible performance in the Ashes 2022, experts claim it was the fault of the batters who failed to perform big for their side.

The rivalry among the two cricketing nations is not new and is almost centuries old. Over a span of 92 years, the two sides have faced each other 286 times across all formats of the game. However, in red-ball cricket or in the test format of the game, the Caribbean side boasts of having better stats in regards to their opponents.

The two sides have played a total of 160 Test matches. West Indies have won 58 of these games while the English side has won 51 matches. As a result, West Indies have a better win percentage of 36.25% while England on the other hand has 31.8%. The England side which would be eyeing a resurgence would try to better their stats in the upcoming three test matches.

England played a 4-day warmup game against the West Indies Cricket Board President team which resulted in a draw. The English team got a much-needed and vital practice in the Caribbean soil with players like Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Dan Lawrence, and others performing really well in the warm-up game.
