McGregor is anticipated to face Michael Chandler after just finishing Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter” (which will continue to air on Tuesdays on ESPN until August 15). Since injuring his leg in a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, “The Notorious” hasn’t participated in the competition.
McGregor hasn’t yet turned in a sample for 2023, according to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency’s (USADA) online testing database.

With all the news circulating outside, the manager has stated that he is well aware of how people are going to speculate and run stories that will be false mostly, but Conor is looking for a comeback into UFC in 2024.

Audie Attar has not guaranteed that Mcgregor will return and fight against Chandler, as he could always get a different opponent, but instead of just speaking for now, he just wants to focus on getting all the things done the right way which is the “most important”, i.e, making Conor’s return somewhere around the beginning of 2024.
Attar doesn’t want to completely eradicate the thought of making the return at the end of this year, as they are still having discussions over the date, but it is most likely to be in 2024. Attar said, that’s probably want the UFC wants to do, and the team will keep track of when exactly they can make their fighter return.
