Ever since the Asian Games, one of the biggest rivalries to see in this PKL 2023 had to be Fazel Atrachali vs Pawan Sehrawat. The duo are perhaps the best raider-defender duo in Pro Kabaddi at the moment, and it shows in the way they play. On Saturday, in the very first match of Gujarat Giants vs Telugu Titans in Ahmedabad, Fazel and Pawan were up against each other, as the respective skippers of their sides.
Considering it was the first match in PKL this year, Pawan started out exceptionally well to send Gujarat players off the mat. But one particular raid just shifted the momentum, where Pawan was super tackled by Fazel and Nabibaksh in the first half.

How Action Unfolded in GG vs TT PKL Clash
Up against two men only, Pawan started out from the right and went close to Fazel. Soon he ran across the mat to get a running hand touch on Nabibaksh, but the latter dodged. Nabibaksh then went for a double ankle hold, while Fazel grabbed the raider by his chest. And that’s how the first super tackle of PKL 2023 was scored. Eventually, in the GG vs TT match, the former won 38-32.
