VALORANT Instalockers: Riot Games to Introduce Cascade Agent Pick System in Valorant to Counter it- The Developers of Valorant have Revealed that a ‘cascading Agent pick’ system would be introduced in a future update to prevent players from instalocking Agents and disrupting the gameplay experience for other players. For those unfamiliar with the term, instalocking occurs when a player chooses a popular Agent like Jett or Reyna without asking their teammates or considering the team’s makeup. This issue has existed in the game since its inception, and instalockers are frequently mocked by the Valorant community.
Cascading Agent pick should be coming to the game in either Act Two or Three of Episode 4: Disruption, according to a Valorant Designer, Jon Walker. Their purpose, he claims, is to avoid the aggravating experience of colleagues locking in their preferred agency without discussing anyone else on the squad.

What is Cascading Agent Pick System?
VALORANT’s creators appear to have drawn influence from League of Legends, another Riot Games blockbuster. This popular MOBA already includes cascade picking, which allows players to choose their champions one by one. In this manner, instead of rushing for champions, players take turns.
Cascade selecting is said to offer each player 15 to 20 seconds to make their choice in VALORANT. Players that do not choose an agent in time will have the opportunity to do so later in the cycle, according to Rumblemike. This is unlike League of Legends, where players who do not choose a champion are booted out of the queue.
Along with the cascading Agent selections, the Valorant designers have revealed some details about the game’s future ambitions, including the much-anticipated Yoru revamp and a forthcoming muted word list that will allow players to block certain terms in conversation.
