US Open 2021 Draws- Ash Barty’s projected path to her maiden US Open Final- In form Ash Barty will look to add another title to her name when she kicks off her US Open 2021 campaign. The Wimbledon champion will begin her proceedings against Vera Zvonareva in the opening round. The 25-year-old is coming into the contest on the back of five straight wins at Cincinnati Masters in the US, including clinching the title in the finals against Angelique Kerber. Her real test will be during the later parts of the tournament as she is likely to take on former French Open champion Iga Swiatek, Wimbledon finalist Karolina Pliskova and Naomi Osaka in the final.

“I think there was probably a part of me that was a little bit unsure of how this year would go for a couple of reasons. “One being, seven to eight months out of the tour last year, and two, being in a completely new adventure, a new scenario, a new feeling for me of being away from home for so long,” she told the WTA Insider after her Cincinnati win.

“I know the work that I’ve put in with my team. That’s where all the gold lies. That’s where all of our good stuff hides,” added Barty, who claimed the No.1 ranking for the first time in June, 2019.
