When Derrick Lewis knocked out Chris Daukaus, the heavyweight fighter (26-10(1)) broke the record for the maximum knockouts in UFC (2021). Although it was his 21st victory overall and 13th in the UFC, it came after three knockout defeats. Before it, he had been brutally knocked out by Tai Tuivasa in February and Sergei Pavlovich in July. He was also eventually TKO’d by Ciryl Gane (2021) for the interim belt.
The next name on the knockout king’s opponent list is Sergey Spivak (15-3). He is coming off two of his outstanding career performances and two knockout victories, which contrasts his previous form. In March, he finished Greg Hardy, and in August, he finished Augusto Sakai. His sole defeat in his last six matches came at the hands of Tom Aspinall (2021), who destroyed him in the opening round.
