However, White made a major announcement regarding UFC 287 at the end of the live, confirming a rematch between Pereira and Adesanya for the middleweight championship as well as the significant fights that will occur there.
He stated, “Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya in the rematch. The co-main event is Gilbert Burns vs the BMF title holder Jorge Masvidal, Kevin Holland vs Ponzinibbo, Rosas Jr vs Rodriguez, and the fight that should be an absolute war Font vs Yanez.”
Contrary to what Pereira had claimed, who had stated he would not face Adesanya and had suggested he may face Robert Whittaker.
