UFC 286: Nelson vs Barberena
At UFC on ESPN 42 in December, Rafael dos Anjos, the former lightweight champion, defeated Barberena via submission in the second round. Previous to then, “Bam Bam” had won three straight fights, including a Knockout victory over former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 276.

Nelson’s last four outings have been divided. The 34-year-old made a triumphant comeback to the octagon at UFC Fight Night 204 in March after a two-and-a-half-year absence. He defeated Takashi Sato there. The victory ended a losing streak of two matches.

In the UFC 286 main card, Gunnar Nelson and Bryan Barberena will square off in another welterweight match. Physically, the two warriors are almost identical. Barberena, though, takes a southpaw stance when fighting. When the data are compared, Barberena scores far more goals per minute and is the superior scorer.
