Dana White opposes referee’s decision on Derrick Lewis vs Sergei Pavlovich: Derrick Lewis is one of the most loved and entertaining UFC fighter and Heavyweight. He has the most KOs in the history of UFC.
However, he has been on the rough edge and faced his third TKO loss in his last four matches.
His bout with Sergei Pavlovich was seen as the opportunity where, Derrick Lewis would make a comeback.
Although, it didn’t go as expected. Lewis lost the fight by TKO. The biggest take out of this was the early stoppage controversy.
Dan Miragliotta, the referee of the match stopped the fight but Lewis got back up immediately and was really unhappy with the decision.

Sergei Pavlovich obviously came out in support of the decision and said Dan made thr right call, he noticed Lewis going down.
UFC Boss Dana White during the post fight media session stated that Dan made a mistake and it was an early stoppage.
He said “I like the ref, but I wouldn’t debate that that was an early stoppage. It was definitely an early stoppage. When you jump right back up like that and you’re ready to go – listen, he was a little rocked, but no more rocked than Julianna was three, four times during the fight, and she fought five rounds. Miragliotta made a mistake, but it happens.
“So I don’t think it diminishes Derrick Lewis at all. I’d have liked to see that fight go on”
However Dana did support Miragliotta against the troll and said he is a really great ref.
“I think it was too soon, but to be fair, Miragliotta’s a great ref. The way that he fell, probably nine out of the 10 people in this room would have jumped on him and stopped the fight, including me” White added
